Myriam Eid leads the arbitration practice of Al Marri & El Hage Offices in Doha and has extensive experience in complex commercial and construction disputes across the MENA, notably Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE. She has successfully represented construction companies in international arbitration and litigation proceedings and regularly advises on construction matters, including contract drafting, claims and claims’ procedures, delays and disruptions, liquidated damages, liquidation of bank guarantees etc. She has also wide experience in commercial disputes and related criminal proceedings.
Myriam is a member of the Beirut Bar Association since 2009 and the ERA Pledge Middle East Sub-committee and Greener Arbitrations Campaign since 2021. She gives lectures in international arbitration at faculties of law and was in charge of the international arbitration courses of the school of law of the Holy-Spirit University of Kaslik from 2016 to 2023 and the LLM Support Program of the University of London from 2012 until 2021. She served as a representative for the ICC Young Arbitrators’ Forum – Middle East from 2017 to 2019.
Myriam was featured in the 2024 edition of Who’s Who Legal – Arbitration Future Leaders and the Legal 500 Arbitration Private Practice Powerlist for the Middle East Region. She was also selected as one of 40 prominent female arbitration practitioners in the Arab World by Lexis Nexis – Middle East (2022).
Myriam graduated from Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut (2006) and holds a Master’s degree in commercial law from Université Paris 2 – Panthéon Assas.
