Ranjith heads the Refinitiv Oil & Shipping Research for Europe, Middle East and Africa with a primary focus on oil flows and shipping data. He was one of the first members to join and start the Middle East research desk and was pivotal in building the team and research content for the region. He and his team formulate research and market insights to generate trade flow analytics by utilizing algorithmic and predictive modeling which enables real time trading information and operational intelligence.

Prior to Refinitiv, he was sailing as a Master Mariner and managed the commercial operations along with heading the technical management for the fleet.

Ranjith holds a Bachelors in Nautical Technology followed by an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
